At Waking Health it is our mission to enable people to live a whole, healthy, and happy life by providing a multidisciplinary approach to personal transformation. Everyone’s path is different which is why we provide a range of support for our clients, allowing you to specialize in one area or incorporate multiple means of support to get you where you want to be. This includes: nutrition, personal training, life coaching and energy healing to empower you on the path to ultimate well-being. We believe personal growth is most successful when you have the proper loving support to change, the knowledge and know-how to get you there, and a holistic well-rounded approach to bring it all together. Lauren Uhde (CNP, LSC, BA)
I am a very passionate person. I am passionate about helping people realize that this life is always in your control and wow is it ever a beautiful thing. On my own journey and while helping others, I’ve realized that personal transformation is an art, no two pictures are the same and you have the power to create whatever stunning piece you would like to look at – the key is you need to care, have the courage to change, and believing in yourself is everything. The trick is you never need to do any of that alone. Support matters, I am here to help.
I am an Energy Healer, a Holistic Nutritionist, and a Life Coach. Energy Healing is a gift. I love that the greatest learning I have received has been intuitive through connecting with my higher self. I also love to read all I can and am a certified Reiki practitioner. As a holistic nutritionist, I am a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. I completed an intensive program through the Institute of Holistic Nutrition with first class honors. As a Life Coach, I have a certification for Life Skills Coaching and a diploma through Stonebridge Associated Colleges. Before all this, I went to the University of Waterloo and have an Honors Bachelor of Arts in English.
All three disciplines are so close to my heart. They have all played an integral part in helping me become who I am today and who I am today is happier than ever before, living life to the fullest and full of never ending health and vitality. I believe with every inch of my being that a holistic approach to health and well-being comes from loving yourself; mind, body and spirit. The exciting part is if you listen, your being will tell you where your journey starts. One at a time, or working on all three bit by bit.
Here’s what I think that self-love looks like:
Mind: Recognizing your thoughts, beliefs, and lifestyle habits directly affect your well-being. How you think is what you see and what I see is beautiful. You can get there too.
Body: Food is fuel, food is medicine. Getting back to the goodness of the Earth is healing beyond belief. Body also means get moving! Josh, the love of my life and my partner in business, is your guy if you need help with fitness.
Spirit: Everything is energy. It’s science and it’s spiritual but it doesn’t matter which category you fall under. The fact is, the quality of your vibration, the energy you radiate, affects your health and well-being.
Some more about me: I love meditation, reading, nature, nutritious food, and music. I love to teach. I love to support. I love to help others on their journey because it’s so much fun to discover wellness as a team. Life is an adventure. Seize it. Live it. Make the most of it. Show yourself the love you deserve.

I want to help you become healthier and happier, so you can get the most out of every moment of life. I dealt with physical and mental health issues throughout my life, from depression to injuries, until I started caring about the food I ate and understanding the power of perception.
For most of my life I really didn’t care about the quality of food I was putting into my body. I thought as long as I was exercising, I was healthy. After my third year of university, I looked in the mirror and realized I was overweight and unhappy. I decided I needed to lose some weight to solve this. I started to cut calories but still continued to eat processed, nutrient poor food. Due to the lack of quality food in my diet, I had developed multiple nutrient deficiencies. This was affecting everything including my energy levels, thoughts and digestion. A couple years ago I decided to try the Paleo diet. This got me off a lot of the junk I was putting in my body. I started realizing the relationship between what I ate and how I felt. I fell in love with nutrition and my focus quickly became health and wellness. Spending my free time looking up articles and research on exercise and nutrition, I realized that I should follow my passion and share it with the world. I may not know who you are right now, but I want to – I want to help you feel amazing!
Today, I no longer follow the Paleo diet, I eat a whole foods diet realizing this works better for me. Everyone is different and together we can find what works for you!
I earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Sociology at Queen’s University, it taught me how to look at problems from a variety of angles and encouraged me to dig deeper in order to find the root cause. This mentality lead me to question the conventional health system that was failing too many. I am a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), I graduated with first class honours from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. I am a certified CrossFit Level 2 Instructor and Head CrossFit Coach at CrossFit RevMMA. I have helped many clients with both their fitness and nutritional journeys.
